Printmaking Basics - Lenore Bassan

This course will cover basic techniques and materials for both beginners and a refresher for experienced printmakers.
Focussing on relief printing using Lino and wood and basic intaglio techniques using collagraph and dry point. You will have access to a well-equipped studio with printing presses and also learn low tech, non- toxic techniques that can be used at your kitchen table! You will be able to explore the formal editioning process or experiment with monotypes and monoprints.

Cost includes $45 of basic materials (includes – cutting tools, rollers, some lino and wood blocks, paper and ink)

Students should bring a notebook, apron or old shirt for getting inky. A basic kit including pencils, rubber, scissors, NT cutter, ruler, masking tape is always handy, but I will have those items available for use.
